Winding down for the weekend and checking in with my favorite Friday link-ups – Oh, Hey Friday, High Five for Friday, and Friday Favorites (add’l links below).

Between posting photos from the Keys, booking a trip to Mexico this week and planning a summer trip to France, travel is on the brain in a major way. This quote accurately sums up what I feel is one of the most fascinating side effects of travel.

After sorting through hundreds of photos from the Florida Keys, I was particularly pleased with how this one turned out. Come back next week for more Florida Keys and Key West posts, but catch up on Day One in Key West and a few bonus photos in the meantime!)

After many months of threatening, I’ve finally begun the closet purge in earnest. Last weekend I went through all of the clothing hanging in my closet (closet shelves and drawers will be another day), and last night I got through one dresser drawer. The amount of stuff heading out the door… well. Here’s a visual of some of them.

That truly is just a portion of what is getting donated to Goodwill, and doesn’t include the things listed on Poshmark.

With any luck I’ll get through swimsuits, another dresser drawer and purses this weekend!

Wake Owl by Gold (Noah Hyde & Magic Sword Remix). I discovered this one while perusing YouTube videos of abandoned Geauga Lake. Geauga Lake is another story for another time, but if you grew up in (or near) Cleveland and were born between 1887 and about 2002… you know what I’m talking about. For the tragic story of how greedy business and poor planning ruined a family park that stood through three centuries, check out this timeline article: 5 Tragic Reasons Why the World’s Largest Theme Park Stands Abandoned in Ohio.

Have you sold anything on Poshmark before? I’ve got a ton to donate, and thought about doing that. But my lazy kicks in and I just end up donating it. So much easier 🙂 But a closet purge feels so good! Hope you’re having a great weekend!

Prior to listing the latest pieces, I sold two items on Poshmark. It doesn’t feel incredibly successful, but the good part is that you can kind of post it and forget it. The listings stay active until you remove them. Poshmark doesn’t charge up front, so there’s no harm in letting something stay up for months on end – which is how long it took for one of my sales. Additionally, from what I’ve heard from other people, the more high-end the item, the more likely it is to sell, and quickly. I hope that’s helpful – if you want to talk about it more, just let me know. Good luck!

Thats a serious purge right there! Good job! And I am totally the same with donuts.

Thanks – it’s still going! All the clothes have been gone through (although I’ve got more items to list on Poshmark) but shoes and ALL accessories still remain. Clearly I’ve been avoiding this for far too long!
