Right now I’m looking forward to a weekend with NO PLANS! Although last weekend was phenomenal and filled with a surplus of fun activities, I’m looking forward to recharging and relaxing. Heading into my bliss with Oh, Hey Friday, High Five for Friday (add’l links below) and Friday Favorites!
Favorite Song This Week
Apparently I had a 90s flashback this week. I’ve been playing George Michael’s Listen Without Prejudice: Volume I in my office for the past three days. To be truthful, I couldn’t pick a favorite song from the album, so I chose this one purely for the video. Hello, 90s! How you been, girl?
Favorite Quote This Week
Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., was a beautiful man in so many ways. The national holiday in his honor, with its celebrations and parades, serves as a reminder of a great man, but it is his words that remind us we are all responsible for, and capable of, the changes required to fulfill his dreams.
Favorite Funny This Week
I actually saw this the day BEFORE I spent twenty minutes looking for my wallet. My bright yellow and orange wallet. The one that was sitting on the purse/wallet shelf all four times that I looked there. *sigh*
Favorite PiYo Moment This Week
Chalene Johnson favorited one of my tweets. WHAT? I know. Now, technically I’m still waiting for those words of wisdom, but still. Pretty dang cool. (Shameless self-promotion: you should follow me on twitter, too.)
Favorite “Home” Spot This Week
My herb garden! Not only is the cilantro flourishing (must make more cilantro dishes before the Florida heat sets in), but I was able to share some of my ginormous rosemary bush (hope that it takes root at Carrie’s house!), and I used parsley AND chives for dinner one night (must make more parsley dishes before the Florida heat sets in). The garden is seriously overdue for weeding – perhaps that’s something I’ll do this weekend.
