This week has been focused entirely on the wedding of two dear friends. The actual wedding is tomorrow, but everything we’ve done this week (including driving from Florida to North Carolina) has been directly related to the event. We had a chance to spend part of one day in Savannah, Georgia, and are now enjoying everything Asheville, North Carolina, has to offer. Mostly in the form of food. Putting down my fork (just for a moment) and checking in with my favorite Friday link-ups: Oh, Hey Friday, High Five for Friday, Friday Favorites and Oh Hot Damn, This is My Jam (add’l links below)!
Favorite Quote This Week
I’ve recently found myself thinking about the friends from which I am geographically separated. Sometimes I do worry that the physical distance will create an emotional distance. However, it is true that when you are reunited with the most special of friends, those beautiful and wonderful souls, you seem never to have left one another’s side, no matter how long it has been.

Favorite Fashion Moment This Week
I wore a romper.
This is BIG, people. I wore a romper and I loved it. Last night was the Bachelorette Evening and this little number was perfect! Lightweight and breathable were great for the Asheville evening temperatures. It was chic, sassy and still classy. Simple silver jewelry, killer wedges and a flash tattoo gifted by the Maid of Honor rounded out the look. Despite my best attempts, there are no full-length shots of me in the romper. All available photographers were apparently too inebriated to comprehend the idea of a photo that “shows the whole look.”
Favorite New Activity This Week
Finally getting a chance to play with the new DSLR! During our last hour in Savannah, Georgia, earlier this week, we finally pulled out the camera. I haven’t learned much, yet, but it was so exciting to get started! Below, with no alterations (other than cropping and adding a watermark) is one of my first photos. Yippee!
Favorite Song This Week
Better in the Dark by Say Lou Lou. My Friday Favorite Songs are chosen based entirely on the song, not on the video. Often, I haven’t seen the video before. That needs to be clear because, in this case, I understand nothing about the video. I’m not going to pretend I’m finding some esoteric meaning in any single piece of it. Anyone who gets it, please enlighten me.
