Bachelor Bracket – Season 19 (Chris Soules)

Find Ben Higgins’ Bachelor Bracket HERE!

Watching The Bachelor is one of my guilty pleasures. I have been present for nearly every season of Bachelor and Bachelorette. I say ‘present’ because as the seasons have gone on, I haven’t been watching the episodes quite as closely.

Living in Chicago, my buddy Amy and I would watch the show at our respective homes and then gossip the following day at work. Somehow, we also managed to meet two of the Bachelors, as well, but that is neither here, nor there.

After I left Chicago, Amy and I still texted on Monday nights about the drama. In Florida, I encouraged my new roomie watch with me. When I moved into my own home, I invited her to come over for the new season. She ended up bringing a friend. And then it became a thing. Which was AWESOME. We began having a bottle of wine on hand, and a few nibbly things. Over the years there has been a core group of four, with additional friends popping in from time to time. The bottle of wine has turned into several, and the nibbly things have turned into full-blown smorgasbords that would feed at least eight. We spend significantly less time analyzing each interaction on the show and more time discussing our own lives. These Monday Girls Nights are horrible for my figure, but priceless for my sanity.

Previous seasons, we’d discussed creating a bracket for the bachelors/bachelorettes, but never gotten around to doing it. And then I ran across a pre-made bracket for season 19 (Nothing like being handed a finished product on a platter to help you accomplish your goals). Below is a copy of the bracket originally posted on Desiree Hartsock’s site.

I know, I know, Bachelor premiered two nights ago. However, there are still options for filling out a Bachelor Bracket with your friends.

If you have NOT watched the first episode of the season (premiered Monday, January 5th), then you’re golden! You can get photos and brief info on each of the initial 30 single women through Us Magazine. Then you have two options.

  1. NCAA Style – fill out the entire bracket before watching any of the season. The problem with this is that you have no real stats on the women on which to gauge their full-season performance.
  2. Slightly Better Odds Style – fill out ONLY THE FIRST WEEK of the bracket and the bonus questions. Then consider the first episode to be your pre-season. It gives you a better idea of each woman’s strengths, weaknesses, defense and offense. After the second week, then fill out EVERYTHING else.

If you HAVE already watched the first episode, just go with option number 2, above.

I’ll reveal my own picks prior to the second episode. Who are you rooting for?? Good luck!

I SO want to do this!! So fun! There are some gems this season, haha. But there are definitely a couple of standout girls to me, so I’m interested to see how things go. I remember we tried texting during The Bachelor a few years ago but I kept falling asleep!

Let me know your thoughts on this
