The past week has been beyond blissful. Through midday Thursday I was lucky enough to be hanging out with a wonderful, generous, kind and funny family in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. From my perch in the mountains above Sunset Beach, Cabo was surreal in its beauty. I’m writing this post on a plane and am already missing every single thing about my vacation. However, the intermittent/inconsistent internet service prevented me from creating/publishing posts, and I’m dying to get back into the swing of things. Back to my Friday link-ups with Oh, Hey Friday, High Five for Friday, Friday Favorites and Oh Hot Damn, This is My Jam (add’l links below)!
Favorite Quote This Week
When Susan said this to me, about actually physically being able to see something, we both laughed at her choice of words. However, when I started thinking about using it for this post, and thinking about the conversations that Susan and I had over the past week, I realized it’s also very zen. Looking back at the time in our lives when we spent every day together, how things have changed and the paths we’ve taken to get where we are, and how our futures, now, don’t necessarily look the way we used to imagine them… it’s true. Life has a tendency to reveal itself very suddenly, and with a look around you see it was just the thinnest of veils that kept you from seeing the truth earlier.
And it’s funny.

Me. Always, but particularly this last week.
Favorite Product This Week
Target Up & Up Sport Sunscreen spray, SPF 50. Although my brain loves spending time in the sun, particularly around water, my skin has yet to accommodate this preference. I’m a burner. Summer, and tropical vacations, historically begin with a burn. However, in Mexico (MEXICO!), this sunscreen stood up to pool water, ocean water and sweat. In fact, I began to worry that I’d head home with no tan whatsoever. Thank you, Target Sunscreen, for allowing me to enjoy a blister-free vacation!
* One note: I’ve been using spray sunscreens for several years. They are NOT first-time-user-friendly. It’s easy to miss spots and not realize it until the stripes show up several hours in. When in doubt, assume you haven’t gotten that spot, yet.
Favorite Photo Series This Week
Throughout the week I received iMessages from Tall Guy (when the wi-fi was working) and he almost always included a photo of Ham. Here are some of the highlights – including Ham’s froggy-doggy pouting pose (bottom left).
Favorite Song This Week
On Wednesday, while ordering poolside Happy Hour drinks, this song came on. I had forgotten it existed and kind-of jammed out for a hot minute. Britney, Bitch.
